Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee functions related to preparing fertilizer for sale to ensure a quality product.
- Fill orders, meet delivery dates, and monitor inventory within the pellet mill department.
- Respond urgently to customer concerns regarding products and services.
- Maintain supplies and equipment for Pellet Mill areas.
- Operate skid steer.
- Identify and report opportunities to eliminate rework and waste.
- Meet or exceed departmental task standards without sacrificing quality or safety, and encourage team members to do the same.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents, and encourage team members to do the same.
- Collaborate effectively with other farm departments.
- Assist in bagging operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean breakroom.
- Identify and report safety hazards or opportunities for improvement to management.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Forklift trained and computer skills preferred.
- Strong aptitude for operating equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to perform job duties independently.
- Works well as a member of a team.
- Class A driver’s license is a plus.
- Constant physical demands include standing and walking.
- Constant physical demands include carrying, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Constant physical demands include talking and hearing.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
