About the Role

Control Point Associates is seeking an experienced Instrument Operator to join their dynamic team in New York, NY. This role involves performing all phases of field surveying using advanced technology and collaborating with a team dedicated to exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all phases of field surveying including Construction Stakeout, Topographical Surveys, Preliminary Boundary Analysis/Stake Out, and As-Built surveys.
  • Utilize tools such as Trimble/Leica/Spectre robotic total stations, data collectors, auto-levels, GPS RTK Units, wireless communications, and 3D Laser Scanners.
  • Conduct field calculations and sketches, download and check data, ensuring accuracy of all survey documents.
  • Maintain and care for all company equipment and vehicles, ensuring secure setup with proper safety precautions.
  • Represent the brand positively and communicate professionally with customers on-site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience performing boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, and construction stakeout.
  • Experience using robotic total stations (Trimble, Spectre, Leica), data collector, auto levels, and GPS RTK Unit.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Ability to expand skillsets and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to complete additional certificates (OSHA (10, 30, 40, etc.), Hazwoper, TWIC, etc.).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays if required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours a day.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
