About the Role

Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute seeks a part-time, paid intern to support Early Childhood Programs from September 2026 to December 2026. This role involves planning and implementing programs, providing onsite support for events, assisting with administrative tasks, and managing data.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the program team to plan and implement the 2026-2027 season of Early Childhood Programs.
  • Provide onsite production and programmatic support for recordings, concerts, workshops, conferences, and other events, including some weekends and evenings.
  • Assist in compiling and submitting contract requests for teaching artists, facilitators, performers, and partners.
  • Coordinate with Education Administration and Production teams for event and workshop room bookings.
  • Assist with daily office tasks and event preparations, including material preparation, hospitality, travel coordination, copy editing, and web page updates.
  • Support data management, databases, online resource center, security list management, and calendaring.
  • Attend all required internal and external meetings and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented, confident, self-motivated, and a collaborative team member.
  • Proven ability to multitask with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot on the spot.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible scheduling available toward a 20-hour work week.
  • Some weekends and evenings may be required.
  • Start and end dates are flexible.
