About the Role

As a Lead to Senior Plumbing Designer at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute expertise to our six market sectors, integrating engineering knowledge with field experience to deliver an unparalleled client experience. Responsibilities

Proactively advises and mentors less experienced designers and engineers, providing oversight and technical guidance.
Takes responsibility for the success of those under their direct supervision.
Designs advanced building systems, prepares design documents, and performs engineering calculations in coordination with project teams and multiple disciplines.
Trains, mentors, and provides leadership to design staff, potentially including direct supervision/management.
Leads project and design efforts from concept design through completion.
Produces solutions to complex engineering problems and design challenges.
Ensures production of drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
Involved in the development of tools, resources, and company practices.
Implements and reinforces design and engineering standards.
Oversees project and design quality through review processes and regular check-ins, potentially providing final reviews.

Requirements

Lead Level: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering preferred (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) and 9 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of engineering preferred (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural). 12 years of relevant experience. Commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Professional Engineering (PE) license may be counted toward 1 year of direct experience.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
Knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes and methods.
Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
Expert knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards (Senior Level).
Working knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes and methods (Senior Level).
Working knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam Revu (Senior Level).
