About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Corporate Partnerships for NFL Canada, this role supports and enables corporate sponsor activations, requiring superior relationship management and a strategic understanding of the marketing mix. The candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of the Canadian sponsorship industry and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners for the development, approval, activation, and analysis of NFL Canada partner activations.
  • Ensure partner programs are approved internally, consistent with contractual rights.
  • Develop NFL-centric content that meets partner and league objectives.
  • Work with player relations to identify and recommend players for partner executions.
  • Collaborate with partners on measures of success and track performance throughout the season.
  • Develop digital media campaigns for league partners to maximize investments.
  • Identify key challenges and opportunities for partners that the NFL can support, in collaboration with other functional teams.
  • Identify incremental revenue opportunities and propose new ideas to deliver net new revenue.
  • Develop and manage contracts for new partners with legal and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with partners on initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Lead required research projects to deliver short and long-term goals.
  • Evaluate annual performance with partners using agreed-upon methodology and metrics.
  • Manage digital inventory across all NFL Canada corporate partners, including trafficking ads.
  • Provide monthly reporting and analysis of NFL owned and operated media executions.
  • Lead NFL Canada events, including NFL Road Trips, Corporate Partner Summit, and Partner Gifting program.
  • Support event calendar initiatives tied to tentpole events: Kickoff, Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, and Draft.

Requirements

  • University or equivalent college diploma; marketing or business administration degree is an asset.
  • Experience with Account Management is an asset.
  • Experience working in sponsorship (client, agency, or property side).
  • Experience working with a sports property and/or sports betting operator is an asset.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively expanding experience in sponsorship/partnership activation or client account management in the marketing function is preferred.
  • Digital media planning or buying experience is an asset.
  • Experience developing and executing digital content is an asset.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage the needs of multiple partners simultaneously.
  • Strong inter-personal and effective communication skills.
  • Creative problem solver with an optimistic approach to business challenges.
  • Consistently pushes for better results for the team and partners.
  • Effective knowledge and use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and research tools.
  • Self-starter with the ability to network within NFL International and Domestic offices.
  • Requires some flexibility of travel during the NFL season (approximately 10% of the year).
  • Valid Passport for international travel required.
