About the Role
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position as Research Assistant. This role supports an NIH-funded study focused on clinical trials and requires a highly organized individual to manage detailed information in a research environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing advertising and appointments for, and brief phone screening of potential research subjects
- Organize databases
- Track and contact patients for intake and follow-up interviews in research protocols
- Coordinate patient appointments for psychologists and psychiatrists and assist with research assessments
- Prepare data for PI to use in IRB protocol submissions and updates
- Organize research charts, create study chart documents as needed, and enter data
- Monitor research charts for completeness and organize additions and corrections as needed
- Assist in communication with the study supervisor, inpatient unit, and pharmacy as needed
- Assist in training new hires to assume incumbent responsibilities, if applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health, psychology, medical science or related field
- At least one year of clinical experience conducting diagnostic and clinical interviews preferred
