About the Role

A family in Tribeca seeks a full-time nanny for their infant, starting around 4 months old. This role is ideal for a nanny confident in infant care, who enjoys supporting early development through structure and routine, and is eager to build a long-term connection. The caregiver should bring a calm, grounded, and playful presence. The schedule is typically 45-50 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional evenings or Saturdays. The family values consistency and seeks a loving, organized, and proactive nanny to support structured routines, track patterns, and guide developmental milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for an infant.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the parents on routines, development, and daily observations.
  • Keep the family appraised of feeding, sleep, and diapering patterns using a shared system or app.
  • Share thoughtful observations and ideas around growth and milestones.
  • Take initiative and anticipate the family’s needs with confidence and professionalism.
  • Prepare and feed bottles (including expressed breast milk).
  • Support transitions such as introducing solids when developmentally appropriate.
  • Support age-appropriate developmental activities, including tummy time, reading, and sensory play.
  • Engage the baby through singing, talking, and interactive play.
  • Facilitate social interaction and learning through outings, classes, and playdates as the infant grows older.
  • Handle baby-related laundry and maintain organization of nursery and supplies.
  • Assist with light household support related to the child, including tidying shared spaces.
  • Prepare an occasional simple meal for the family if comfortable (not required).

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid passport and willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Flexible with schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends with advance notice.
  • Flexibility to potentially transition to a live-in role in the Hamptons during some weeks in the summer with advance notice.
  • Comfortable working in a home with a cat.
  • Able to provide strong references and pass a background check.
