Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare mail for delivery.
• Load and drive a Canada Post vehicle.
• Deliver packages to customers outdoors.
• Use portable communication devices (two-way radio, text messaging, PDT).
• Represent Canada Post professionally.
• Ensure the security of mail items and Canada Post equipment.
• Drive a vehicle safely.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record and appropriate provincial driver's license class.
• Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry mail items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb).
• Work safely in all weather conditions (snow, rain, hail, ice, etc.).

Requirements

• Possess a valid Class 5 or G driver's license with a good driving record for at least three years.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Delivery experience or experience operating a vehicle is an asset.
• Must pass a pre-employment interview and physical assessment test.
• Must successfully complete two consecutive weeks of mandatory training (Monday to Friday).
• Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
• Must be available to work on holidays (including the day before and the day after).
