About the Role

This role enables customer participation in the Mastercard global ecosystem, focusing on scaling the Mastercard network and upholding security and transparency. It offers opportunities to reshape and drive existing and new businesses, enhance ecosystem performance, and add value to participants through customer-facing interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all Franchise-related matters across Canada, including customer performance and compliance.
  • Deliver customer training and address inquiries regarding Mastercard Franchise Standards.
  • Promote innovation and build strong customer relationships.
  • Engage in strategy development with the Canada Leadership team.
  • Enable deals with new customers and customer segments.
  • Drive performance optimization in the ecosystem.
  • Lead and drive execution with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Communicate and provide thought leadership across Canada and to customers.
  • Identify non-performance trends and optimization opportunities using data and analytics.
  • Act as a Franchise expert and advisor to Business/Product teams.
  • Proactively engage and provide guidance on strategy and execution of initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders on Franchise matters.
  • Support stakeholders on payments fraud management, understanding customer procedures, and providing best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and solution-based sessions.
  • Collaborate with Account and Product teams to enable new opportunities in core, commercial, multi-rail, and new customer segments.
  • Drive resolutions and delivery of initiatives through cross-functional engagements at Country, Regional, and Global levels.
  • Partner with Business Development, Product, Account Teams, Regulatory/Legal, Customer Risk, AML, and Customer Delivery to create and implement solutions.
  • Ensure a risk-based approach for customer engagements and business initiatives.
  • Stay informed about the regulatory landscape.
  • Identify process efficiencies and improvements using automation and simplification technology.
  • Participate in Country Management and/or Business meetings, communicating regional strategies, initiatives, and best practices.
  • Ensure overall alignment across country, regional, and global levels.

Requirements

  • Possess a business, risk/fraud management, compliance, or finance degree with relevant fraud and/or banking experience.
  • Expert in data capture, analysis, and presentation.
  • Ability to create Power BI interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Possess a strategic and business mindset.
  • Successful track record in payments, translating strategies into large scale programs and adapting them across business and/or markets.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and learning agility.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced team environment with multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives while exercising sound judgment and flexibility.
  • Self-motivated, people-centric and results-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated teamwork.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, detail oriented and ability to operate effectively in a complex global environment.
