About the Role

This role offers a qualified actuary the opportunity to build experience across Solvency II, UK GAAP, and US GAAP reporting, while gaining exposure to capital forecasting, dividend activities, and supporting wider financial initiatives. It provides a platform to own key work, lead process improvements, drive change, interact with senior stakeholders, and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet, P&L results, monthly reporting and regulatory submissions.
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise financial insights and technical guidance.
Communicate complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Coach and mentor actuarial trainees, supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture.
Champion innovation in actuarial systems and reporting methodologies.
Own change activity supporting the wider transformation of the Finance Function.

Requirements

A qualified actuary with strong experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives.
Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional working.
A keen interest in finance transformation and process improvement.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency.
