About the Role
Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Full Time Seafood Manager for its Sausalito location. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3-5 years of seafood experience, 2-3 years of management experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate a team.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
- Follow department procedures for supply management.
- Possess knowledge of product availability, preparation, storage, and nutritional aspects.
- Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to meet margin and labor targets.
- Supervise and maintain the special order system.
- Adhere to established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Operate and sanitize all equipment safely.
- Safely use grinder, tenderizer, saw, and knives for meat preparation.
- Provide excellent and consistent customer service.
- Train and inspire team members to achieve excellence in all department aspects.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of previous experience in a grocery Seafood department.
- Knowledge of and ability to filet different seafood.
- Prior department operations and staff management experience.
- Good communicator and motivator, able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm.
- Self-motivated and solution-oriented.
- Available for flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to sit up to 1 hour per day.
- Ability to walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to reach up to 6 hours per day.
