About the Role

Little Medical School is seeking energetic and dependable instructors to lead engaging medical and veterinary STEM programs for children ages 3–12+. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals, college students, recent graduates, educators, and others who want to share their knowledge while making a meaningful impact on young learners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interactive medical, health, science, and veterinary programs for children
  • Teach established lessons using provided curriculum, materials, and equipment
  • Facilitate hands-on activities, demonstrations, games, and role-playing exercises
  • Create an encouraging, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
  • Adapt your presentation style to different ages and learning needs
  • Set up and organize program materials before and after each session
  • Represent Little Medical School professionally at classes, camps, and special events

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic about working with children
  • Energetic, dependable, and well organized
  • Comfortable speaking in front of and leading groups
  • Strong communicators who can make scientific concepts approachable and fun
  • Able to follow a structured curriculum while keeping students engaged
  • Previous experience working with children is strongly preferred
  • Professional, academic, or volunteer experience in areas such as Medicine, nursing, or pre-health studies, Sports medicine and athletic training, Physical or occupational therapy, Kinesiology and exercise science, Emergency medical services, Public health and health education, Biology, chemistry, forensic science, or other STEM disciplines, Veterinary medicine and animal science, Education, childcare, coaching, camps, or youth programming, Theater, public speaking, or performance
  • Current college and graduate students in these fields are encouraged to apply
  • A healthcare degree or clinical license is not required unless otherwise specified
  • Submit a résumé and a brief introduction explaining your experience working with children or leading groups, your connection to healthcare, science, sports medicine, education, or a related field, and why you would enjoy introducing children to medical STEM concepts
