About the Role

The Director, Customer, Broker & Third-Party Security will be responsible for the design, delivery, and operations of security platforms that secure the digital experience of customers and brokers, as well as platforms used to assess and mitigate risks related to third parties. This role has high visibility and requires regular communication with senior management and continuous interaction with IT and Security teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of managers and professionals to ensure optimal operation of existing security solutions and delivery of road maps and 3+ year strategy.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues and business peers to balance user experience and security in customer and broker channels.
  • Lead mechanisms to mitigate third-party risk, including assessments and continuous monitoring.
  • Manage steering and governance committees, informing stakeholders and representing team challenges at executive forums.
  • Create and publish team backlog/capacity plans to foster transparency and risk-informed execution.
  • Build strong relationships with development teams for customer and broker facing channels.
  • Ensure alignment of selected technology with security practices and enterprise architecture.
  • Actively participate in ongoing IT projects and support acquisition projects.
  • Advise on customer, broker, and third-party security to IT and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure resources are working on priority projects, requests, and issues.
  • Effectively establish and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Lead IT infrastructure and design activities in support of the IT mission, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Ensure the team has the expertise to support the IT mission by enabling appropriate training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing large technical teams.
  • Experience managing platforms for customer identity and access management, cloud-native application protection, and/or third-party risk management.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
  • Experience in heterogeneous and complex IT environments (cloud, SaaS, on-prem).
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Motivated team player able to lead and motivate interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary/Compensations

  • 161,600 - 197,500
  • Annual bonus target of 20% with potential payout of up to double the target
  • Up to 12% of salary in share plan & other savings
