About the Role

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for greeting guests and members, being well-versed in the facility and its services, developing strong relationships, warmly welcoming clients, and answering inquiries. This role may also involve processing transactions, handling money, and contributing to facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the “Arch Amenities Group Experience” for members and guests by maintaining established standards.
  • Adheres to policies of the facility and Arch Amenities Group.
  • Reports any incident or accident to the Manager on duty.
  • Submits all paperwork and financial reporting in accordance with Arch Amenities Group policy.
  • Develops and maintains accurate department maintenance procedures and checklists.
  • Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies and/or products.
  • Communicates effectively with members and guests by becoming knowledgeable about the facility and its amenities.
  • Helps ensure the facility is safe and secure at all times.
  • Greets each guest with a smile and direct eye contact.
  • Offers to make reservations, find directions, or look up phone numbers for members and guests.
  • Uses time efficiently by checking equipment, locker rooms, and inventory.
  • Ensures proper coverage when leaving the area.
  • Keeps the work area clear of clutter and personal effects.
  • Informs co-worker(s) of pertinent information at the end of the shift and maintains the staff communication book.
  • Informs the facility manager of any member, guest, or facility issues.
  • Enrolls members and guests in programs and makes reservations for services.
  • Receives payments for goods and services and properly accounts for money.
  • Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Provides priority availability for evenings and weekends.
  • Provides evening/night hour availability.

Requirements

  • High school graduate preferred, or students with correct and approved working papers for NYS.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Previous experience handling money.
  • Excellent communication, customer service skills, and work ethic.
  • Efficient, well-organized, and able to handle multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational.
  • Strong team player.
  • Proficient in appropriate computer skills and office equipment.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexible hours.
  • Availability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk.
