About the Role

Juno Veterinary is seeking a Rotating DVM to join our new clinic initiative in Toronto. This role is crucial in upholding the Juno Standard of Care, providing mentorship, and ensuring clinical excellence. We offer flexibility for either part-time (2 shifts/week) or full-time (3-4 shifts/week) employment, supporting both our teams and patients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise treatment and ensure clinical excellence.
• Uphold and practice the Juno Standard of Care.
• Diagnose and treat infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative, physiologic, and environmental diseases.
• Triage and stabilize urgent/emergent cases before referring.
• Perform feline and canine spay and neuter, cryptorchid neuter, umbilical hernia repair, mass removals, cystotomy, laceration repair, eyelid surgery, enucleation, and gastropexy.
• Perform dental charting, read XRs, manage gingival flaps, sectioning, extractions, and closing extraction sites.
• Utilize POCUS and abdominal ultrasound.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with team and members.
• Manage scheduled appointments, walk-ins, urgent cases, and tasks efficiently.
• Remain productive and self-motivated during slower periods.
• Adapt, troubleshoot, and brainstorm solutions for issues.
• Hear and act on feedback.
• Motivated to grow personally and professionally.
• Flow with changes and contribute to process improvement.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with non-doctor tasks when needed.

• Manage own patients, including appointments, procedures, lab work interpretation, medication prescription, and follow-ups.
• Complete charting and tasks in a timely manner.
• Forge connections between members and Juno through positive client experiences.
• Participate in team meetings to improve overall medical quality.
• Coach and support inexperienced doctors and support team members.
• Develop positive relationships with the team.
• Clearly and efficiently communicate wants/needs with the support and leadership teams.
• Align with and promote Juno initiatives.
• Understand basic business needs, metrics, and benchmarks.
• Expand service offerings through continuing education and training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinic setting.
• Passion for wellness, medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases.
• Experience triaging and stabilizing urgent/emergent cases.
• Surgical competence in spay/neuter, hernia repair, mass removals, cystotomy, laceration repair, eyelid surgery, enucleation, and gastropexy is a plus.
• Dental competence including charting, XR interpretation, extractions, and site closure is a plus.
• Comfort with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound is a plus.
