About the Role
This role supports the effective management of housing disrepair cases, aiming to improve outcomes for residents. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and confident in working with various stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant case progression with a focus on service improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support the effective management of housing disrepair cases.
- Work with surveyors, legal teams, contractors, and residents to progress claims efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate inspections.
- Monitor repair works.
- Maintain accurate case records.
- Support the Council’s wider aim of improving housing standards and resident outcomes.
Requirements
- Organized, detail-focused, and confident managing competing priorities in a busy disrepair service.
- Ability to work independently, using sound judgment to progress cases, resolve issues, and know when to escalate.
- Strong communication skills.
- Accuracy, clear record keeping, and a proactive approach.
- Experience/Knowledge of managing complex legal or disrepair casework.
- Knowledge of legal disclosure, FOI and Subject Access request requirements.
- Strong Stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work to strict court, protocol and statutory deadlines.
- Confidence liaising with legal professionals and representing the organisation in formal proceedings.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and record keeping.
