About the Role

As a Lead Fullstack Developer, you will take full technical responsibility for your unit's deliverables. You will design, develop, release, and operate scalable add-ons across the entire stack with Laravel and Vue.js 3. You will ensure performance, security, and maintainability, and lead the team through complex technical decisions. Additionally, you will drive the adoption of AI and agentic coding tools within the team and continuously evaluate how they can sustainably increase both productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

Full end-to-end architecture responsibility for modular add-ons (backend, frontend, integrations), ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
Design and implementation of complex backend logic (Laravel, Queues, Events) and optimized database schemas for high-traffic e-commerce environments.
Manage frontend integration within a micro-frontend setup (SingleSpa) to ensure seamless performance and consistent UX.
Responsibility for CI/CD, Semantic Versioning, Docker-based environments, and release processes, including stable rollouts.
Ensure reliable live operation through monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident management (e.g., DataDog, AWS environments).
Act as Technical Lead and Final Reviewer, focusing on mentoring, enforcing high code quality standards, and ensuring consistent architecture.
Promote the use of AI-powered and agentic coding workflows within the team, defining best practices, guardrails, and quality standards for production development.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in developing, scaling, and operating complex fullstack web applications in production environments, ideally in e-commerce or SaaS.
Expert knowledge in PHP (8.x) and Laravel (including Middleware, Queues, Events, Gates/Policies) combined with solid frontend development experience.
Advanced architecture expertise in designing secure, multi-tenant, and distributed systems, with a strong understanding of SOLID/DRY principles and sustainable maintainability.
Advanced knowledge in database and performance engineering (MySQL/RDS, complex schema design, indexing strategies, Redis caching) in high-traffic environments.
Demonstrated responsibility in a DevOps-adjacent environment, including Docker-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, Semantic Versioning, AWS infrastructure understanding, and production monitoring/alerting.
Strong technical leadership skills: mentoring senior engineers, conducting high-quality code reviews, structuring complex problems, and translating technical decisions into business value.
Practical experience with AI-powered and agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and a clear understanding of where they provide real value.
Genuine enthusiasm for the AI field, coupled with a commitment to continuously evaluate current tools, models, and methodologies to measurably increase developer productivity and code quality.
