About the Role

Synthflow AI is seeking its first Forward Deployed Engineer in Germany. You will be the technical owner for DACH customers, responsible for running demos, writing prompts, building integrations, and driving projects to a live agent in production. This role is customer-facing, acting as the German-speaking technical counterpart during the sales process and then making the solution a reality. You will have autonomy over your workload and timelines, and your work will set the template for future team members.

Responsibilities

Build and ship AI voice agents for DACH enterprise customers, including prompts, conversation flows, edge cases, and escalation/recovery logic.
Iterate agent logic against real call data to ensure production readiness.
Write integration code using JavaScript and Python to connect agents with customer CRMs, contact centre platforms, scheduling tools, and internal APIs.
Conduct technical discovery and build customized demos for German enterprise buyers.
Own Proof of Concepts (POCs) end-to-end, from scoping and building to coordinating engineering and customer efforts.
Manage telephony aspects during go-live, including SIP connectivity, call routing, transfers, and contact centre configuration.
Develop the DACH playbook, including repeatable demo patterns, compliance approaches, and reusable agent components.
Contribute to hiring the future team.

Requirements

Experience building LLM agents used by real users.
Ability to demonstrate prompts that measurably changed agent behavior.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python.
Experience building and debugging API integrations.
Credibility with enterprise customers, including conducting technical deep dives and handling live technical questions.
Ability to own ambiguous work from inception to production without direct supervision.
Strong communication skills to keep stakeholders informed.
C1/C2 level German and English proficiency.
Based in Germany.
Able to be in the Berlin office 3-4 days a week.
On a lead track, with experience mentoring or leading technical work.
Interest in building a function rather than just filling a role.
