About the Role
The HR Intern will learn and collaborate with the ACCES HR team, gaining exposure to various functional areas, projects, assignments, and initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the team to contribute toward achieving ACCES HR team’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and assistance across all HR functions, with main responsibilities in recruitment.
- Support HR actions and initiatives in alignment with ACCES’ Strategic Priorities.
- Handle ad‑hoc projects and assignments during the internship period.
- Support Recruitment Initiatives.
- Support Talent Outreach.
- Support Recognition Program Administration.
- Provide HR Administrative Support, including timesheet auditing and tracking.
- Support Learning & Development, including coordination of events and recommended training for staff development goals.
- Support Health & Wellness.
- Support Employees Performance Reviews (data collection & data entry).
- Conduct Research.
- Participate in HR Team Meetings to discuss employee and labour relations issues and resolutions.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information and materials.
- Strong team player who collaborates effectively as a member of the HR team.

- Professional demeanor with the ability to identify, manage, and safeguard confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Skilled in professionally contacting candidates for interviews and prescreening to support recruitment initiatives.
- Detail oriented with strong time management skills.
- Self-disciplined and able to work independently.
- Effective in a team environment where priorities may shift frequently.
- Proactive in identifying and recommending opportunities to enhance HR programs and services; willing to take on new responsibilities within placement hours.
Skills
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for learning new software.
- Knowledge of HRIS navigation and data entry is considered an asset.
