About the Role

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager, this role involves performing general repairs and maintenance to the facility and grounds, executing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general repairs and maintenance to facility and grounds as assigned.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Programs.
  • General Maintenance to include but not limited to Painting, Building Repairs, Plumbing, Electrical Work, Boiler Maintenance and Cleaning Drains.
  • Responsible for inventory of parts of assigned area.
  • Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Requirements

  • Must have a background in Electrical and PC.
  • Experience in Plumbing, Refrigeration and Equipment repair and Knowledge of Equipment.
  • Basic Knowledge of electrical starters, switches and three (3) phase motors.
  • Must provide your own Hand Tools.
  • Must pass pulmonary functions test and pass and maintain respirator fit test annually.
  • Any other duties assigned.
  • GED or High School Education.
  • At least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • Multi-task Individual.
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision.
  • Standing: Long periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Sitting: occasionally for short periods.
  • Walking: Long periods.
  • Bending & Twisting: Frequently.
  • Lifting: Heavy (50+lbs).
  • Carrying: Heavy (40-60lbs).
  • Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs. without assistance frequently.
