About the Role
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager, this role involves performing general repairs and maintenance to the facility and grounds, executing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general repairs and maintenance to facility and grounds as assigned.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance Programs.
- General Maintenance to include but not limited to Painting, Building Repairs, Plumbing, Electrical Work, Boiler Maintenance and Cleaning Drains.
- Responsible for inventory of parts of assigned area.
- Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
- Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Requirements
- Must have a background in Electrical and PC.
- Experience in Plumbing, Refrigeration and Equipment repair and Knowledge of Equipment.
- Basic Knowledge of electrical starters, switches and three (3) phase motors.
- Must provide your own Hand Tools.
- Must pass pulmonary functions test and pass and maintain respirator fit test annually.
- Any other duties assigned.
- GED or High School Education.
- At least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting experience.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Multi-task Individual.
- Ability to work independently or with little supervision.
- Standing: Long periods (up to 8 hours).
- Sitting: occasionally for short periods.
- Walking: Long periods.
- Bending & Twisting: Frequently.
- Lifting: Heavy (50+lbs).
- Carrying: Heavy (40-60lbs).
- Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs. without assistance frequently.
