About the Role

This role supports Transmission by participating in the planning, preparation, and review of NPCC regulatory filings and post-filing responses. The individual will interface with ISO-NE, coordinate required filings, and ensure proper reporting of NERC and ISO-NE requirements. Activities include coordinating with transmission operations, reporting on key performance indicators, and providing timely responses for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Verify compliance with engineering/test/maintenance standards and requirements by reviewing records submitted by SMEs.
  • Assign and follow up on SME tasks through Archer (compliance application).
  • Prepare and discuss NERC Event Analysis reports with SMEs.
  • Conduct and coordinate Self Assessments to verify Eversource compliance.
  • Conduct and coordinate Reportability Determinations on engineering standards and/or requirements.
  • Provide analytical support to the Manager of Reliability Compliance.
  • Coordinate information gathering for all NERC, NPCC, and ISO-NE related filings.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of applicable rules and regulations in Archer & Compliance Universe.
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate records are maintained for all filings.
  • Oversee and provide input to regulatory filings for Transmission.
  • Provide support in the preparation of presentations to management, regulators, and other audiences.
  • Manage the group’s calendar of filings, external meetings, and NERC reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain networks of key contacts across the organization.
  • Prepare and circulate summaries of the group’s internal interaction with transmission management.
  • Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs as part of the employee's role, including Emergency Restoration assignments.

Requirements

  • Familiar with utility industry, especially transmission.
  • Understanding of electrical power engineering principles and theories.
  • Experience with database management and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with regulatory reporting.
  • Demonstrates competency and proficiency in oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical reasoning skills and ability to apply knowledge to solve problems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail.
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
