About the Role
Seeking a motivated and commercially minded Associate to join the Retail Valuation & Advisory team in London. This role supports the delivery of high-quality valuation and advisory services across a diverse retail property portfolio, offering the opportunity to work with institutional investors, lenders, property companies, and occupiers on complex, high-profile UK assignments.
Responsibilities
- Undertake valuations of retail assets for secured lending, financial reporting, acquisition, disposal, and strategic advisory purposes.
- Produce detailed valuation reports in accordance with RICS Red Book standards.
- Analyse market trends, transactional evidence, occupier demand, and investment performance within the retail sector.
- Build and maintain financial models and cash flow analyses.
- Support senior team members on large portfolio instructions and client pitches.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and market insight.
- Collaborate with wider capital markets, leasing, and advisory teams across the business.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and thought leadership within the retail sector.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, risk management, and professional standards.
Requirements
- MRICS qualified (or close to qualification).
- Experience within commercial property valuation, ideally with exposure to retail assets.
- Strong understanding of UK retail property markets and valuation methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple instructions and work effectively under pressure.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially aware mindset.
