About the Role

Lead the regional execution and evolution of Western Union's funds-out payment strategy for the EMEA region. This role will oversee a high-performing product team focused on expanding and optimizing digital global remittance capabilities, critical for driving growth in EMEA and beyond. You will shape and execute strategic initiatives, grounded in competitive analysis, industry trends, and business goals, to deliver innovation, efficiency, and market competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product managers responsible for product inception, discovery, solutioning, development, testing, rollout, and maintenance.
  • Prioritize work for junior product team members and direct team efforts across run, grow, and transform initiatives.
  • Shape and evolve team ways of working by establishing strong stakeholder relationships and refining agile and end-to-end PDLC practices.
  • Create an environment for product teams to thrive by shaping people/talent, process/procedure, product, and technology strategy.
  • Pilot innovative ways of fulfilling the product mission.
  • Own the product/platform roadmap and make priority decisions based on business cases, market, user, and customer impacts.
  • Act as a steward of platform investments by identifying risks and managing total cost of ownership.
  • Establish market positioning objectives for complex products and platforms.
  • Educate the product team and stakeholders on product and platform vision, mission, and current/future state.
  • Prepare executive reporting around KPIs and OKRs.
  • Be responsible for the performance of product teams, incorporating professional development goals.
  • Exemplify Western Union’s values around engagement and inclusion.
  • Act as a change agent and driver of innovation.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of product management experience in financial services, preferably within payments.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Strong ability to leverage customer insights, market trends, and data to inform and execute product strategy.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven expertise in strategic and tactical product management.
  • Hands-on experience in agile methodologies and full end-to-end PDLC.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution across complex initiatives.
  • Experience in market research and identifying opportunities for product innovation and expansion.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Robust technological background and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of technology and business processes.
  • Track record of driving measurable impact through product delivery and team development.
