About the Role
The Home2 Suites by Hilton in Queensbury, NY is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Housekeeping Attendant to clean guest rooms and respond to guest requests, contributing to outstanding guest service. This role offers bonus incentives and involves year-round work in a 108-room hotel.
Responsibilities
- Maintains brand and company standard for cleanliness in hotel guest areas
- Cleans guest rooms, including removal and stocking of linen, dusting, and sanitizing all areas
- Makes beds, vacuums carpets, and cleans tile areas in guest rooms
- Reports maintenance deficiencies to maintain compliance with brand standards
- Uses chemicals, cleaners, and cleaning equipment properly
- Ensures cleanliness of public areas of the hotel
Requirements
- Able to work alone without direct supervision
- Demonstrates a high degree of drive and determination
- Recommends service and product improvements
- Keeps the work area clean and tidy at all times
- Attends all required meetings
- Follows proper payroll and uniform procedures
- Properly handles and reports associate and guest accidents
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Assists with responsibilities and duties in other departments and as assigned by management
- Able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel
- Requires weekday, weekend, and holiday availability
- Requires continuous standing and moving during shift
- Requires lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 30 lbs.
