About the Role
Jensen Hughes is seeking an accomplished Associate to join their fire engineering team in London. This leadership role involves technical excellence, business development, people management, and client engagement, with responsibilities including leading major projects, managing client relationships, supporting business growth, and mentoring a team of fire engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex fire engineering projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance of fire strategies, engineering reports, and design solutions.
- Develop innovative, performance-based fire engineering solutions for challenging projects.
- Act as a technical authority on UK fire safety legislation, Building Regulations, and industry best practice.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead proposal preparation, fee submissions, and bid responses.
- Contribute to market strategy and support the growth objectives of the fire engineering business.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fire engineers.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Ideally be Chartered or working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
- Significant experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment.
- Experience leading, managing, and developing technical teams.
