About the Role
Responsible for organizing, directing, and controlling operational activities across a division to achieve specified cost and profit objectives and ensure all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications across clients.
Responsibilities
- Possess detailed knowledge of operations at each site, including contract, scope of work, building type, and client nuances.
- Assure the delivery and execution of all contracted janitorial services within the division.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at all client locations.
- Maintain frequent communication and contact across all client sites via phone calls, emails, and site visits.
- Work closely with supervisors and managers to develop their operational knowledge and management capabilities.
- Continuously monitor the overall performance of each site and make appropriate changes as needed.
- Work directly with client and internal teams to ensure billing and collections are processed in a timely manner.
- Partner with local and national 3rd party vendors and suppliers for onsite material, supplies, and equipment.
- Negotiate modifications to compensation or staffing plans based on site-specific needs.
- Work with the sales team to develop and grow the business and represent the GDI brand.
- Provide oversight of all employees within the division with direct supervision of all employees reporting to sites within the territory, including Account Managers, Area/District Managers, and Regional Operations Managers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of multi-unit, high volume Operations Leadership.
- Full manufacturing facility experience preferred.
- Manufacturing safety experience preferred.
- UAW experience preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Strong customer service and employee relations skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task.
- Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
