About the Role
As the Senior Product Manager for enterprise and deployments, you own the trust and access layer of the dbt platform, covering authentication, authorization, and deployment locations. This role involves foundational infrastructure work with a direct impact on revenue, focusing on enhancing the security and accessibility of the dbt platform for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and compliance teams, and partner with Fivetran to build the open data infrastructure layer.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for identity, access, and deployment across the dbt platform.
- Enhance enterprise security features like SSO, SCIM, RBAC, and PrivateLink.
- Lead the migration from single-tenant to multi-tenant deployment models.
- Determine deployment locations and ensure compliance with data residency and regional isolation requirements.
- Improve the user sign-up, login, and account discovery processes.
- Empower administrators with self-serve tools for managing users, groups, invites, and permissions.
- Act as the product representative in enterprise security reviews.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams on telemetry and observability for the trust layer.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, with significant time on identity, access management, security, or infrastructure products.
- Direct experience with authentication and authorization (SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC, identity providers).
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS deployment models, including tenancy, isolation, regional expansion, and migration paths.
- Strong technical foundation to collaborate effectively with engineering and reason about architecture.
- Comfort engaging with enterprise customers, particularly security and platform teams.
- Excellent written communication skills for creating clear specifications and explaining technical decisions.
- Ability to operate effectively in a distributed team environment.
