About the Role
As a VFX Editor, you will be responsible for ingesting and conforming live-action plates, maintaining editorial timelines across multiple projects, and managing all incoming and outgoing media within the VFX pipeline. You will assemble VFX shots, support screening room operations for internal dailies, and assist with client reviews and final submissions. Your role is crucial in ensuring Untold Studios remains at the forefront of technical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Setting up new Film & Episodic projects from the ground up, including ingest and deliverables pipelines.
- Providing full Conform support to Advertising projects, working with rushes and generating plates.
- Ingesting client-supplied plates and media, ensuring correct organization and availability.
- Setting up shots for artists with frame ranges, offline references, audio, and retime/reposition information.
- Creating V000s for shots to verify pipeline functionality and allow QC of color & framing.
- Managing client edit updates, ensuring accurate shot information, frame ranges, and editorial timelines.
- Owning and maintaining the internal review tool for each show, ensuring it is current and information is released timely.
- Creating internal and client-facing minicuts, primarily working in Hiero.
- Supporting in-studio review sessions and workflows to ensure smooth dailies and client reviews.
- Collaborating with the Pipeline team on the development of department and studio workflows.
- Working closely with Production to ensure the ShotGrid database is accurate and up-to-date from an Editorial perspective.
