About the Role

Air Canada is looking for dynamic individuals to fill the full-time position of Aircraft Technician at our Toronto Maintenance Centre. This role is responsible for airframe maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform airframe maintenance.
  • Use correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment for aircraft maintenance.
  • Read and understand schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting.
  • Be available to work nights, evenings, days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location.

Requirements

  • Completed a recognized apprenticeship program and/or have at least 2 years of industry-related experience.
  • Possess a Transport Canada Avionics E license (mandatory).
  • Possess a valid driver's license (Mandatory).
  • Able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check.
  • Able to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (Mandatory).
  • Possess a restricted radio operators permit (aviation).
  • Meet Air Canada medical standards, including passing a medical evaluation, drug and alcohol test, and being free of intoxicating substances.
  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Candidates are responsible for seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations.
  • Selection will be made in accordance with Letter of Understanding 13 of the current Collective Agreement.
