About the Role
Argus Search is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Senior Accountant (gn) on behalf of a client. This position is based in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Commercial and tax-related booking of all business transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, cash, credit cards)
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Processing of all payment transactions
- Independent coordination with financial management and adjacent departments
- Active further development of processes, including integration of AI-supported tools into daily business
- Contact person for tax advisors, auditors, etc.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree in economics, business administration, or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting/finance
- Several years of professional experience in accounting
- Proficient user skills in common MS Office programs, especially Excel, as well as general IT affinity and willingness for digital development
- Analytical and structured way of working with a high affinity for numbers and problem-solving skills
- Initiative, sense of responsibility, and a reliable, meticulous work ethic
- Fluent German language skills, English skills are an advantage
