About the Role
The Manhattan Institute is seeking an entrepreneurial, self-driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented Event Associate to join their team in New York City. This role will support the organization's in-person and virtual events programming by interacting with stakeholders and assisting with various aspects of event planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with vendors, venues, and colleagues during all stages of the event process
- Manage event set-up, check-in, and tear down process
- Manage event lists, RSVPs, and guest lists
- Manage the events pipeline calendar
- Produce virtual events (training included)
- Some evenings required
Requirements
- Familiarity with MI policy priorities and the work of MI Fellows; a keen interest in supporting and extending this work
- Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work well under pressure

Salary/Compensations
- $68,000 - $78,000/year
