About the Role

You will guide clients through the process of switching from other e-commerce platforms like Shopware, WooCommerce, and Magento to Shopify. Your expertise will transform platform changes into growth opportunities by helping brands realign their systems and data structures on Shopify for increased flexibility, modern user journeys, enhanced storytelling, and sustainable growth. You will lay the foundation for strong brands to scale successfully in e-commerce, whether through migration or integration of external systems.

Responsibilities

Understand client system landscapes, identify needs for Shopify shop integrations, and plan integrations with the project management team.
Support the project team in conceptualizing migration projects with your expertise.
Maintain direct contact with clients, addressing technical inquiries and providing recommendations.
Perform migrations from e-commerce platforms such as Shopware, WooCommerce, Magento, or others to Shopify.
Analyze existing system requirements and limitations with the project team to define the optimal data structure and logic for Shopify, providing clear recommendations for smooth and future-proof migrations.
Export product data, customer data, order history, vouchers, and other necessary information from existing shop systems, prepare it for Shopify requirements, and import it.
Independently execute planned migrations and proactively inform project managers about progress, blockers, and potential delays.
Develop preferred methodologies, establish new migration processes with support, and actively contribute to the development of the department.
Assist in building the interface development and external system integration area for Shopify shops and support clients with your knowledge in system integration.
Actively contribute to the growth of the company and develop within the role.

Requirements

Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master).
Advanced technical expertise with Shopify APIs, interface documentation, and large data volumes.
Experience in integrating systems containing product data with Shopify, ensuring all existing product information is transferred.
Highly precise work approach and reliable reporting to project managers.
Proactive and self-motivated, taking initiative without waiting for direction.
Realistic assessment of personal capacity and task feasibility, addressing concerns early and embracing feedback for development.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly to relevant individuals.
Structured work style, ability to prioritize, and maintain an overview of multiple ongoing projects.
Enthusiasm for elevating services with expertise, willingness to learn new areas, and motivation to build a new department.
Strong understanding of IT system landscapes in e-commerce and online shop systems, particularly Shopify.
