About the Role
Putnam Hospital, a 164-bed acute care hospital, is seeking a dedicated individual to prepare cold food for patients, deliver meals and snacks, and serve on the patient tray line. This role involves stocking, restocking, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, reporting to lead diet aides, supervisors, or managers.
Responsibilities
- Prepares cold food for patients
- Delivers meals and snacks to the floors
- Serves on the patient tray line
- Stocks and restocks food for patients
- Cleans and sanitizes work area
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to make simple calculations
- Prior foodservice experience helpful
- Stands and walks most of day
- Stoops, bends and reaches
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to move portable kitchen equipment
- Must be able to have hands in soapy warm water
