About the Role
This role is for a hands-on developer responsible for building Tableau dashboards and managing the full data pipeline, including complex SQL/PostgreSQL queries, views, and functions. The position requires strong business-facing communication skills to deliver data insights for better decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Gather dashboard requirements from a variety of stakeholders
- Use SQL and PostgreSQL to build views, functions, and data flows for Tableau analysis
- Create and adapt Tableau dashboards
- Design, test, and maintain insightful Tableau dashboards
- Manage and improve existing dashboards across Promotions, Ticketing, and Finance
- Create thorough documentation for the entire process, from database to dashboard
- Assist the Business Intelligence team with other duties as required
Requirements
- Experience writing complex queries, views, and functions from scratch in PostgreSQL or SQL in a fast-paced business environment
- Demonstrable understanding of relational databases and data pipelines
- Confident interpreting data and sharing it in a relatable way
- A strong desire to learn Tableau, or existing basic experience
- Experience working with Salesforce data pipelines, Heroku and/or Databricks is desirable
- Experience documenting data structures, flows, and reporting
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Clear and concise written communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities and working with a variety of teams
- A great communicator who can naturally build rapport with a wide variety of people across all parts of the business
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changing business needs
- A creative problem solver with initiative
