About the Role

We are seeking a paid social specialist to advance their career as an Account Director. This role involves managing the day-to-day paid social activities for a client account, overseeing junior staff, and cultivating strong client and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of paid advertising across major social channels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production of comprehensive paid social media plans aligned with client objectives and KPIs.
  • Articulate the rationale for proposed campaign tactics and present them to stakeholders.
  • Manage a hybrid team responsible for the end-to-end setup of paid social campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot and train junior team members on advanced platform features and tools.
  • Maintain the standard of quality assurance for campaign setup according to best practices.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of campaign performance reports and provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Lead client calls and support the team in presenting results.
  • Ensure the standard of end-of-campaign reporting and quarterly/annual reviews.
  • Lead standalone research projects as required by the client.
  • Deliver on the over-arching paid social strategy and ensure alignment with wider digital and comms strategy.
  • Serve as a key social point-of-contact for clients, ensuring confidence in the team's output.
  • Identify opportunities for testing and innovation in the paid social space and secure client backing.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of multiple projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media partners.
  • Ensure effective management of local and Global Hub employees, monitoring workloads and priorities.
  • Train and develop entry-level team members, motivating and encouraging less experienced staff.
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead regular internal meetings and training sessions.
  • Lead the recruitment process for the immediate team and assist with wider team recruitment.
  • Develop tailored testing/learning agendas for clients.
  • Collaborate with the planning team and other channel specialists to ensure paid social activity complements the wider marketing mix.
  • Collaborate on thought-leadership pieces and POVs.
  • Manage agency finance processes accurately and effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a busy agency or client-side social team.
  • Experience setting up and optimizing paid social campaigns across key social platforms.
  • Experience planning large-scale paid social campaigns, preferably across a mix of brand and direct-response objectives.
  • Experience compiling detailed and insightful end-of-campaign reports & presentations.
  • Experience managing a team to jointly compile regular client presentations.
  • A track record of working with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Experience line managing others and effectively managing day-to-day workloads.
  • Experience training and mentoring junior staff across paid social.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and countries.
  • Collaborative, friendly, and can-do attitude.
  • Right to work in the UK.
