About the Role

This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence, and best-in-class service for Amazon. This role is part of the XCM EU Regional Hub team. XCM is Amazon’s Cross-Channel Marketing division, delivering all communications for Amazon.com, including large tentpole campaigns such as for Black Friday and Prime Day. OpenDoor is XCM’s media partner everywhere in the world except North America and Latin America. XCM is the largest business division within Amazon, the WPP OpenDoor team supporting them in its biggest growth regions across Europe, India, Australia, Middle East and South East Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the implementation, management, and daily optimisation of campaign activity to ensure client objectives and KPIs are met.
  • Competently create media plans designed to achieve specified KPIs.
  • Support the day-to-day QA process, minimizing errors and ensuring consistent and accurate adherence to process.
  • Create/design programmatic strategy for client portfolio, ensuring strategy is clear and most appropriate to client's objectives and KPIs.
  • Complete client reporting and analyze campaign results, extracting insights to provide recommendations for future activity.
  • Drive revenue growth through spotting new optimization opportunities, services, or products and delivering excellent results.
  • Work with partners and attend regular platform training to develop programmatic skillset.
  • Appropriately use tools to drive accountability in programmatic buying, operational efficiencies, and actionable business insights, with the scoping of agreed client outputs.
  • Ensure financial accuracy, integrating the planning and buying process, and reconciliation of spends, including client terms and programmatic fees, via buying templates and processes.
  • Maintain standards and process throughout the end-to-end campaign lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Have a good understanding and competence in MS Office – PowerPoint and Excel in particular.
  • Understanding of industry-standard media research tools.
  • Understanding of how Activation works in different media channels.
  • Have an awareness and curiosity about the media and marketing industry, including trends, challenges, or concepts.
  • Develops a broad understanding of industry tools, technology, techniques, and systems, as well as their application (e.g., TGI, Adintel, Pathmatics).
  • Can run simple tasks independently and either present to clients directly or package for the wider team.
  • Demonstrates curiosity by asking questions around communication frameworks, plans, approaches, trends, and innovations.
  • Demonstrates willingness to input into new projects and ideation sessions.
  • Assists in the development of communications frameworks and cross-media strategy.
  • Supports with data reporting, audience intelligence, and production of client-facing presentations (e.g., QBRs).
  • Has a basic understanding of media channel dynamics and can discuss how each channel might add to the overall plan.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
