About the Role
This role supports the Project & Training Specialist by performing daily system testing and product development support. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining training materials, procedure manuals, and rating/underwriting manuals, while maintaining a proficient knowledge of underwriting department business and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive testing on both newly developed and existing products to ensure functionality, performance, and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues discovered during the testing lifecycle.
- Partner with team members to maintain high standards of quality assurance throughout all phases of testing.
- Systematically analyze, organize, and document test results.
- Support defect management processes, including logging, tracking, and reporting issues using established tools.
- Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation for new processes, procedures, and testing protocols.
- Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.
- Assist with regression testing to validate that recent changes have not adversely impacted existing functionality.
- Support product upgrade testing to ensure seamless system enhancements.
- Maintain, review, and update Rating & Agency manuals, related materials, and underwriting documentation.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and delivery of training materials to support team knowledge, consistency, and performance improvement.
- Maintain, review, and update training manuals, internal memos, and underwriting documentation.
- Assist in onboarding new team members by supporting system training initiatives.
- Provide administrative and documentation support to the Project & Training Specialist and Director of Underwriting.
- Monitor and track failed tasks related to third-party vendor activities, proactively identifying issues and supporting resolution efforts.
- Support the organization, maintenance, and continuous updating of SharePoint repositories.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Project Specialist.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Pursuit of AINS & API/AU Designation Required.
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Efficient in Microsoft.
- Ability to use initiative and sound judgement to make decisions within established guidelines.
- Demonstrates a broad knowledge of insurance industry terminology and laws as it pertains to assigned area.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn general policies and procedures for underwriting insurance risk for all lines of business.
