About the Role
Argus Search is a specialized HR and Finance recruitment consultancy connecting top talent with leading companies in Berlin. We are seeking a motivated individual for the role of Senior Finance & Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Establish an internal accounting function and transition from external service providers.
- Manage independent financial accounting for multiple German entities.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank accounting, and payment transactions.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and standardize accounting structures.
- Enhance and automate recurring finance and accounting processes.
- Integrate various systems into the existing finance system landscape.
- Contribute to advanced finance topics such as FP&A, M&A, and capital market-related projects.
- Utilize modern technologies and data-driven solutions, including AI, SQL, or Python.
- Ensure transparent and timely financial reporting.
- Collaborate closely with management, tax advisors, and auditors.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree in economics, business administration, or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting/finance.
- Several years of professional experience in accounting and/or controlling.
- Proficient user skills in standard MS Office programs, especially Excel, with general IT affinity and willingness for digital development.
- Analytical and structured working style with strong numerical affinity and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, responsible, and reliable with meticulous work habits.
- Fluent English skills; German language skills are an advantage.
