About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver complex nuclear safety cases and safety assessments.
  • Support safety substantiation, engineering justification and hazard management activities.
  • Contribute to regulatory engagement and licensing programs.
  • Provide technical assurance across major defence and nuclear projects.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering, design and programme delivery teams.
  • Support the development of Australia's sovereign nuclear capability and future nuclear workforce.
  • Learn from and collaborate with leading nuclear specialists from across our global business.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or another STEM discipline, or a completed relevant industrial apprenticeship.
  • Experience delivering nuclear safety case, safety assessment or safety assurance activities.
  • Experience within defence nuclear, civil nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • A commitment to technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership.
  • Must obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance (Australian NV1 or UK SC/DV equivalent).
