About the Role
As Sous Chef at The George, you will play a pivotal role in delivering consistently high-quality, innovative dishes. You will work closely with the Head Chef, contributing to menu development and managing the day-to-day kitchen operation, including prep schedules, stock control, budgeting, and kitchen maintenance, while leading and motivating the kitchen team.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef within a high-quality restaurant or pub
- Strong understanding of food trends, seasonality, and quality produce
- Creative, detail-driven approach to cooking and presentation
- Proven experience managing, training, and motivating a kitchen team
- Confidence in scheduling, managing, and reviewing staff rotas
- Solid working knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene, and compliance procedures
- Ambitious, passionate about great food, and looking to progress your career
