About the Role

Our AI team develops solutions that are productively used by our customers, ranging from individual AI-supported processes and conversational AI systems to our own sovereign and modular AI platform for agentic AI applications. The projects are growing in scope and complexity, and we need reinforcement. We are looking for an experienced developer personality with a passion for modern AI applications to enrich our team both professionally and personally.

Responsibilities

Technical and professional leadership of demanding AI projects, from requirements analysis and architecture through implementation to productive operation.
Conceiving and developing generative AI applications and agentic AI/multi-agent systems, including on the basis of our own AI platform, and translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
Designing agent architectures including orchestration, tool and function calling, memory and context management, guardrails, and suitable evaluation strategies.
Developing robust data pipelines and integrating models and agents into our customers' existing IT and cloud environments.
Providing technical leadership for project teams, coordinating collaboration with data scientists, cloud architects, and software developers, and ensuring the implementation of end-to-end solutions.
Acting as the central technical point of contact for our customers and presenting complex technical contexts understandably to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Evaluating new technologies, frameworks, and standards, contributing own ideas, and shaping the further development of our AI portfolio.
Actively sharing knowledge and supporting the professional development of colleagues.

Requirements

Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and implementation of AI/Machine Learning solutions in customer projects, ideally with Generative AI, Agentic AI, or Computer Vision.
Experience in technical or professional project leadership and in direct customer contact.
Very good knowledge of Python and common AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex).
Experience with LLM APIs and agent architectures, as well as a good understanding of testing, evaluation, and guardrails for non-deterministic systems; knowledge of multi-agent orchestration is an advantage.
Experience with cloud and deployment technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure, as well as basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, databases, and API development; experience with CI/CD is desirable.
Strong communication and presentation skills, initiative, and sense of responsibility, as well as very good English skills and German skills at at least C1 level.
Experience with agile project methods and in presales or offer preparation for AI projects is an advantage.
