About the Role
As Financial Controlling & Reporting Manager, you will support the standardization and simplification of the finance area, leading projects related to simplification and compliance with company guidelines within an international environment reporting to the EMEA headquarters in Madrid.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial control and reporting activities for UK ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in UK in accordance with established deadlines and Company policies and Accounting Principles (SP GAAP and IFRS).
- Own annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, partnering with stakeholders to support business performance.
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure financial integrity.
- Drive working capital management, cash flow visibility and financial governance initiatives.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities and support SOX compliance requirements.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to Commercial, Supply Chain and operational teams.
- Cooperation with Tax advisors and auditors.
- Support projects in the finance sector.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance or completed commercial training, preferably with further development in Finance (Balance Sheet Accountant).
- 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, in particular preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
- Good knowledge of SAP / R3 FI and BW/EDW.
- Good knowledge of dealing with MS OFFICE, especially Excel.
- Very good written and spoken English.
