About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Business Analyst to contribute to building our communications capability within the SNAPP peer review system. This role emphasizes a user-centric approach and involves leveraging analysis tools to inform decisions that align with business objectives and user needs. You will collaborate with a cross-functional agile delivery team and business stakeholders to understand complex business problems, define work, and identify key opportunities within a diverse and inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to understand goals and vision, and identify business needs through strong business insight.
  • Orchestrate collaboration within the team and externally with business stakeholders while balancing competing priorities.
  • Communicate requirements alignment to the development team using clear storytelling techniques.
  • Collaborate and provide business analysis support to the product manager, business sponsors, SMEs, and the team during development.
  • Unearth root causes of pain points and validate business opportunities and problems using data analytics and quantitative analysis.
  • Prioritize competing demands and obtain buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Map, analyze, and validate information flows within a complex organizational setting and contribute to process and system design improvements.
  • Plan, organize, and lead workshops that generate ideas and resolve problems.
  • Champion business analysis best practices and principles within the BA community.
  • Challenge and influence decisions, focusing on customer and business value.
  • Monitor, track, and communicate progress and issues relating to the project using project management practices.
  • Capture information in team Jira and ensure it is kept up to date.
  • Develop an understanding of the technology stack, system capabilities, and data landscape to support effective solution delivery.
  • Engage in and/or facilitate ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning, prioritization, steering sessions, story kick-offs, collaborative analysis and design workshops, showcases, and retrospectives.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand, analyze, and scope new work.
  • Support team members in problem-solving activities to remove blockers and complete agreed-upon work.

Requirements

  • Ability to quickly gain context of the product and user space and its fit into the bigger picture of the programme landscape.
  • Proactive, self-driven, makes oneself useful, pulls information, and doesn't wait to be asked; seeks advice when unsure.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team with collective responsibility for the product.
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with teams to deliver software in an agile manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups to achieve defined goals and outcomes using various facilitation tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate concepts and ideas from technical and functional business perspectives effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing and resolving conflict with stakeholders.
  • Ability to use available data to inform decisions and build better products.
  • Strong focus on high-quality customer experience and sustainable solutions.
  • Proactively identifies pain points and openly addresses any form of gaps.
  • Outstanding analytical ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Uses drive, creativity, and initiative to move the team forward.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and innovation across teams.
  • Intellectually curious and motivated, constantly looking for more context.
  • Good command of English is essential.
