About the Role
Working as part of the EMEA Treasury and Global Treasury Operations team, this role focuses on the supervision of day-to-day cash management and funding for Columbia Threadneedle’s international business and regulated entities. The primary goal is to ensure the firm meets its payment obligations, maintains minimum liquidity requirements, and optimizes returns on liquid asset investments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and analyze daily cash activity, cash flow reconciliations, and cash forecasting for all corporate bank accounts.
- Ensure established compliance procedures and controls are completed.
- Review and process all outgoing cash transfers for timely and accurate distribution.
- Liaise with internal and external business partners on inquiries, issues, and advanced requests.
- Cross-train for all related cash management functions to serve as an effective backup.
- Participate in departmental and corporate projects, including business continuity, disaster recovery, and system upgrades.
- Review current processes with a view to automation.
- Process time-critical domestic and international payments in various forms and across multi-currencies.
- Undertake liquidity forecasting and cash management, including FX hedging.
- Ensure daily compliance with risk limits in line with Enterprise Policy and Local Regulatory standards.
- Support special projects across the Strategic Liquidity book of work.
Requirements
- Established experience in a similar role within Treasury or Finance Operations.
- Intellectually curious, prepared to understand process operations and their contribution to key outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, and Word).
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Demonstrable ability to work within a Global team environment.
- Experience working in global teams, building effective relationships with leaders and peers based outside of their location, in the delivery of Treasury Operations or a similar function.
