About the Role
Provide legal support to all areas of Kepler’s business and its game portfolio, managing contracts, trademarks, regulatory compliance, and company secretarial work in a broad and challenging role.
Responsibilities
- Manage Kepler’s trademark portfolio with external counsel assistance.
- Ensure groupwide compliance with data protection and online safety legislation.
- Work on a variety of contracts including funding, publishing, marketing, platform, partnership, game production, employment, and supplier contracts.
- Communicate directly with Kepler teams, game studios, partners, and vendors.
- Supervise and assist the Paralegal with company secretarial activities.
- Assist the Head of Legal with M&A projects.
- Undertake ad-hoc activities based on business needs.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
- Previous experience in the games industry is highly desirable.
- Experience working in another creative or IP-focused industry.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest, desire, and passion to work in games.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team player.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms.
