About the Role
Seeking Financial Services Regulatory Lawyers to advise Axiom clients across various financial sectors, including banking, fintech, payments, asset management, insurance, and investment.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on financial-services regulatory matters, including FCA and PRA requirements, conduct, governance, risk, product, and business-as-usual issues.
- Support regulatory change projects, product launches, financial promotions, customer documentation, outsourcing, operational resilience, and wider compliance initiatives.
- Draft, review, and advise on a broad range of regulatory and commercial materials, including policies, procedures, customer terms, governance documents, product documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, product, operations, commercial, and senior business stakeholders to manage regulatory risk and deliver pragmatic solutions.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer eligible to practice in the UK, or an equivalent qualification with relevant UK financial-services regulatory experience.
- Experience advising on one or more areas of financial-services regulation, including banking, payments, fintech, consumer finance, asset management, insurance, investment services, or financial crime.
- Experience gained in private practice, in-house, on secondment, or within a regulated business, financial institution, consultancy, or professional-services environment.
- Strong commercial awareness, legal judgment, drafting, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and business-focused advice.
