About the Role
Axiom is seeking Capital Markets Lawyers to advise clients across financial institutions, investment banks, and other organizations on a variety of capital markets matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice on debt, equity, and equity-linked transactions, securities offerings, financings, and listed-company matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate capital markets documentation, including offering documents, prospectuses, underwriting agreements, purchase agreements, engagement letters, disclosure materials, and related transaction documents.
- Support transactions throughout their lifecycle, including structuring, due diligence, disclosure, documentation, execution, closing, and post-transaction requirements.
- Collaborate with legal teams, bankers, issuers, finance, compliance, business stakeholders, and external counsel to manage risk and deliver transactions efficiently.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer eligible to practice in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with relevant UK capital markets experience.
- Possess the right to work in the UK.
- Experience advising on debt capital markets, equity capital markets, equity-linked products, securities offerings, listed-company matters, or corporate finance.
- Experience gained in private practice, in-house, on secondment, or within an investment bank, financial institution, broker-dealer, issuer, or other relevant financial services environment.
- Strong commercial awareness, drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and business-focused advice in a fast-paced transactional environment.
