About the Role
This role is part of the Center of Excellence for economic sanctions monitoring within Global Payment Operations (GPO). GPO plays a critical role in servicing, supporting, and monitoring Wire and ACH payment processing vehicles. The SSCoE (Sanctions Screening Center of Excellence) within GPO reviews all customer transactions to ensure compliance with the Bank of America's Economic Sanctions Program. This position is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the research and execution of complex transactions.
Responsibilities
- Advise on the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in an operations environment using discretionary judgment.
- Advise on projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives.
- Act as a technical expert in the assigned area, providing an understanding of business unit operations processes and their implications on other groups within the operations function.
- Consult on present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementations by creating a clear and coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control.
- Identify and recommend responsibilities and accountabilities for key programs/projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Operations or Compliance, with Sanctions being ideal.
- Highly organized individual capable of prioritizing, using initiative, and being flexible.
- High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and navigate change.
- Strong risk framework and approach.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skills
- Experience and knowledge of economic sanctions program requirements and disposition of sanctions alerts.
- Extensive background with WTX and/or ACH experience.
- Experience in Global Banking & Markets business process.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
