About the Role

This role focuses on building and maintaining a trusting and constructive collaboration with employee representatives, acting as the primary point of contact for works councils and employee committees. It involves developing and implementing a company-wide labor relations strategy to ensure sustainable cooperation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a trusting and constructive collaboration as the first point of contact for local works councils, the general works council (GBR), and the economic committee (WiA).
  • Develop and implement a company-wide labor relations strategy to ensure sustainable and constructive cooperation with employee representatives.
  • Lead negotiations with employee representatives on works agreements, reconciliation of interests, and social plans.
  • Develop viable and future-oriented solutions considering economic, cultural, and labor law frameworks.
  • Advise executives and HR on co-determination measures and change processes.
  • Manage and coordinate collaboration with internal departments and external legal advisors on complex issues.
  • Develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for cooperation with employee representatives.
  • Train executives, HR, and other stakeholders, and support conflict management to ensure fair and constructive cooperation.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Economic Law, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in labor relations, particularly with co-determination structures and collective labor law frameworks in Germany.
  • Experience in supporting change processes and organizational measures.
  • Proven experience in negotiations with works councils.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent German and English skills at CEFR level C1 or higher.
