About the Role

The role is responsible for analyzing, negotiating, and executing complex structured debt investment opportunities from origination to closing. The candidate will be a deal lead working directly with the team directors and have the benefit of analyst support. The deal team works collaboratively with the loan asset management team throughout the investment life-cycle, maintaining active involvement from acquisition through asset realisation. In addition, the candidate will provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

5-8 years of experience in real estate investment banking, institutional commercial real estate lending, principal real estate investing and/or development, with relevant deal-specific exposure.
Demonstrated credit analysis expertise including credit underwriting, financial covenant structuring, borrower assessment, and evaluating security packages across various risk profiles.
Understanding of European property fundamentals (including operational assets) as well as an interest in real estate investments.
Working knowledge of loan documentation and legal frameworks across European jurisdictions, including familiarity with facility agreements and inter-creditor arrangements.
Demonstrated strong investment judgement with ability to assess risk-return profiles across diverse capital structures and market conditions.
Strong presentation skills, attention to detail and analytical rigor.
Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
Deal origination experience and established relationships within the European debt capital markets community is a plus.
European languages an advantage although not a must.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
