About the Role

The role is responsible for analyzing, negotiating, and executing complex structured debt investment opportunities from origination to closing. The candidate will be a deal lead working directly with the team directors and have the benefit of analyst support. The deal team works collaboratively with the loan asset management team throughout the investment life-cycle, maintaining active involvement from acquisition through asset realisation. In addition, the candidate will provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in real estate investment banking, institutional commercial real estate lending, principal real estate investing and/or development, with relevant deal-specific exposure.
  • Demonstrated credit analysis expertise including credit underwriting, financial covenant structuring, borrower assessment, and evaluating security packages across various risk profiles.
  • Understanding of European property fundamentals (including operational assets) as well as an interest in real estate investments.
  • Working knowledge of loan documentation and legal frameworks across European jurisdictions, including familiarity with facility agreements and inter-creditor arrangements.
  • Demonstrated strong investment judgement with ability to assess risk-return profiles across diverse capital structures and market conditions.
  • Strong presentation skills, attention to detail and analytical rigor.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Deal origination experience and established relationships within the European debt capital markets community is a plus.
  • European languages an advantage although not a must.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
